Frequently asked questions
How does the timeline work?
Choose the date and time when you want the bread ready, enter your formula, and create a plan. The app works backwards to estimate when each stage should begin. Fermentation is variable, so use the dough—not only the clock—as the final signal.
What is included in the free version?
The free version includes the formula calculator, a baseline backward schedule, and one saved bake plan. The current paywall shows the Pro features and the localized price before purchase.
How do I restore Pro?
Open Settings in Sourdough Timeline and choose Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account that made the original purchase. Restoring does not create a new charge.
How do I manage or cancel a subscription?
Open iPhone Settings, tap your name, choose Subscriptions, then select Sourdough Timeline. You can also use Apple's subscription management page. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
How does the free trial work?
If you are eligible and choose the yearly plan, the purchase screen shows the trial length and the price charged after the trial. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel through Apple before the trial ends.
Can Kettlefern issue a refund?
Apple processes App Store payments and refund requests. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund or report a billing issue.
Where are my bake plans stored?
Plans are stored locally on your device in the current version. They are not uploaded to Kettlefern. Deleting a plan removes it from the app; deleting the app removes its local data, subject to your iOS backup settings.
The schedule looks wrong. What should I check?
- Confirm the bread-ready date and time.
- Check hydration, starter percentage, and flour amount.
- Remember that room temperature and starter strength can shift fermentation substantially.
- Create a new plan after changing the target time or formula.
